Fitness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father was a power lifter and every night he would move the cars out of the garage to lift for hours. I remember the music and the sound of the weights rattling together. Although I grew up in an environment that stressed the importance of health and fitness – I did not start to taking strength training seriously until high school and that’s when I found CrossFit. I never really excelled in team sports so when I began to improve at CrossFit it motivated me to train harder. I’ve been doing CrossFit since 2010 and it’s been an amazing journey.

I began to coach about a year after and I’ve been in love with it ever since. Helping someone improve their quality of life is probably the most rewarding feeling. Our program is functional and that’s what people need. Of course a workout is always going to be a challenge but I pride myself on building a community of athletes who enjoy pushing themselves. Community and camaraderie is the life blood of what I do. My other hobbies include hiking, playing the guitar, and collecting tattoos. Taking life too seriously can drive a person insane so I enjoy hanging out with good company, having some good laughs, and cracking a few beers. We all deserve to live a little! My overall goal is to continue to train hard with hopes of making to it the CrossFit Regionals and maybe one day the games. Come check out CaliFit and see what we’re all about!
